This lovely couple, Laurel Reed and Daniel Cota met years before in high school. After a brief introduction, they didn’t meet again until their sophomore year in college where they shared a psychology class together and it wasn’t long before they were dating!
When I met Laurel and Daniel, I asked them to describe their wedding vision - Laurel used three words...Whimsical, rustic and celebration! The color pallet for their wedding was navy blue and burgundy which was carried throughout their decor. Rustic touches were reflected in the burlap and lace runners, mason jar centerpieces sitting on wooden circles filled with roses and baby's breath. Lanterns, soft candlelight, and navy blue chiffon highlighted the sweetheart table giving it just enough rustic charm. Hanging orbs at varying heights throughout this venue added a touch of whimsy. This design style was a perfect match for their venue. Kallista Park at Medella Vina Ranch is open, airy with lush gardens throughout!
Laurel was absolutely stunning in her dress designed by Maggie Waters! It was the perfect combination of lace and chiffon with a soft ethereal look that fits in with her design style. This sweet elegance was reflected in the bride herself! Laurel’s dress was purchased at J Bridal Boutique in Tucson, AZ. Laurel’s dress was elegant but not without a hint of her playful side...her shoe choice were custom made Converse in burgundy which matched Daniel’s navy blue suit! Their sneakers were purchased directly from Nike.com
Laurel’s bridesmaids wore mix-matched dresses in shades of burgundy. Each dress, like the bridesmaids themselves, were unique and playful! Their dresses were purchased from Bridy Grey, a local small woman-owned business in Tucson. All dressed can be donated providing an affordable prom option for young ladies!
Evergreen Florist provided the stunning bouquets and boutonnieres! Their centerpieces certainly finished the tables beautifully! The bridal bouquet was full, fresh and colorful and the boutonnieres were attached to the lapels by magnets!
Daniel and his groomsmen looked so handsome in their rich navy blue suits with burgundy ties and pocket squares. Daniel and his groomsmen purchased their suits from Nick’s Menswear.
Their wedding day was full of celebration and personal moments. Leaves collected for months prior to the wedding day provided organic hole punched confetti. The personal touches didn’t stop there - guests were delighted to take home mini pies wrapped in burlap and ribbon.
All of these sweet moments were captured so beautifully bySteven Palm Photography! These fabulous photographers always do a fantastic job!
It was an honor to work with Laurel and Daniel - we literally had so much fun planning!
Thanks so much and remember to throw some Confetti!
